The rules and regulations of the German statutory accident insurance institutions (Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallversicherung (DGUV) have been harmonized into a new regulation as of May 1, 2014. Among other changes, the familiar abbreviation “BGV” has been replaced through appropriate DGUV regulations.
